The History of the JimmyTree -

Once upon a time, there was a lone palm tree.  A brave little palm tree.  It was a beautiful palm tree.  And a limited amount of people to take care of the beautiful palm tree.  One week, the limited amount of people left for New York and the beautiful palm tree died.  Too bad.  A replacement palm was found at Target.  This palm too was very beautiful.  However, living palm trees don't travel well.

Travel well you ask?  A more industrial strength tree was needed for the situations sometimes encountered in the late 90's early 00's.  Something that stands out, draws a crowd and has people say, "What the heck is that?"

This is the JimmyTree.  It's built to last.  We, the trunk is anyway.  The JimmyTree is a 10' by 5" PVC tube covered with brown bark cloth, topped with green cloth leaves.  Sometimes coconuts and lights are added for festival periods.

The JimmyTree for many years rested during the off season on Lake Monona during it's youth.  As of early 2002, I moved out of state and Nicole Stark has taken over the care taking of the JimmyTree.  During the past 5 years of it's life, it has been to 4 Buffett concerts, avoided theft twice, run over by a pickup truck, has had two different sets of leaves, been lit with pink flamingos, red hot chili lights, m&m lights, and both white and mulit-colored christmas lights.
